Java_ECMA Script was created by Brendan Eich and was first introduced in December 1995 under the name of LiveScript. It was rather quickly renamed JavaScriptt, although JavaScript’s official name is ECMAScript, which is developed and maintained by the ECMA (European Computer Manufacturer's Association) International organization.

Java_ECMA Script is a lightweight scripting technology which is used alongside XHTML documents to make websites more interactive. JavaScript which is also known as ECMAScript is one of the most popular scripting language ever used in web design and development.

In web development it is essential to use JavaScript. It has multipurpose utility. JavaScript is most commonly used as a client side scripting language. This means that JavaScript/ECMA Script  code is written into an HTML page. When a user requests an HTML page with JavaScript in it, the script is sent to the browser and it's up to the browser to do something with it. JavaScript Can Change HTML Content. It helps to make our website more interactive as well as user friendly foe r the users.

Java_ECMA Script is also used in environments that aren't web-based, such as PDF documents, site-specific browsers, and desktop widgets. Newer and faster JavaScript virtual machines and platforms built upon them have also increased the popularity of JavaScript for server-side web applications. On the client side, JavaScript has been traditionally implemented as an interpreted language, but more recent browsers perform just-in-time compilation.

JavaScript is classified as a prototype-based scripting language with dynamic typing and first-class functions. This mix of features makes it a multi-paradigm language, supporting object-oriented, imperative, and functional programming styles.

Though its a complicated and tough programming language Java_ECMA Script for the programmers but it gives excellent interactive outputs to the users.
